Superblocks for internal tools: governance for AI-built apps
A platform designed for CIOs and security teams who want one controlled path from an AI-built prototype to production. Most of what makes it distinctive sits on the Enterprise plan.

Superblocks positions itself as "one governed path to production" for AI-generated apps and agents: employees build, and IT and security teams govern integrations, permissions, code security and infrastructure1.
Best for: Large companies whose IT and security teams need to govern the apps and agents that employees build with AI.
Not the right fit for: Small and mid-sized teams that want single sign-on and audit logs on a self-serve plan.
What Superblocks does
Builders use Clark, Superblocks's AI agent, or their own coding agents2. Around them, the platform provides centralised access policies and audit trails backed by the company's secrets manager, isolated execution in micro-VMs, security scans and policy checks before production, cost limits per app, team or user, and a way to find unused apps and agents for retirement1.
It offers three deployment models. In Cloud, data and AI inference run in Superblocks Cloud. In Hybrid, production data stays in the customer's VPC. In Cloud-Prem, the whole platform, including inference, runs in the customer's AWS, GCP or Azure environment, managed by Superblocks. Its FAQ states that customers fully own the code it generates2.
Published evidence
- Cvent (vendor-published). Superblocks’s homepage quotes Cvent’s CIO saying the company runs more than 100 AI-built apps on its business systems.1
The homepage also quotes a head of IT and infrastructure, without naming the company, saying the team built 70 apps used daily across 18 departments1. These are customer statements on the vendor's page.
Strengths and limits
Strengths
- Governance is the product: centralised access policies, audit trails, security scans before production and cost limits per app, team or user.
- Three deployment models, from Superblocks Cloud to a full deployment in the customer’s own AWS, GCP or Azure environment.
- Its FAQ states that customers fully own the code it generates.
Limits
- Single sign-on, audit logs, source control and VPC deployment are Enterprise features with custom pricing.
- The Teams plan includes one hosted app ($10 a month for each additional app) and up to 15 builders.
- Positioned for CIO, CISO and IT teams; little is offered for a company without one.
Choose another option if: You are a mid-sized company without a dedicated IT security function, or you want published pricing for the governance features.
Pricing
Published: Teams $100 a month billed annually or $125 monthly, with 100 governed agent units and up to 15 builders; Enterprise custom.
Questions to ask Superblocks
- What does Enterprise cost for our number of builders and end users?
- Which deployment model do we need for our data, and what does it change in price?
- How many governed agent units would our first apps consume each month?
- Who in our organisation would own the policies the platform enforces?
